Eco Leather
What is ‘ECO leather’?
The leather that we use on our Woodstock seating surfaces is a combination of natural leather and manmade materials or ‘backings’. Both commercial and automotive factories receive leather in the form of a genuine cow hide. In the cutting process, the center of the natural hide is used and the balance is discarded or re-purposed.
Woodstock takes the remnants and puts them through a process that creates a leather blend that is colored and applied to a structural backing. It is then put through rollers to compress and finally textured for a consistent leather look and feel. We then arrive with a recycled product, cutting down on the number of hides that are needed to build these chairs paired with a strong backing or foundation.
Our chairs are designed with a ‘sling suspension’ for both comfort and longevity. If we made the chairs with a leather straight from the hide, over time the leather would stretch and puddle. Our system, besides being environmentally friendly is also much stronger than a natural hide and will provide users with a chair look and feel that will in fact hold up better over the long run.
ECO leather is leather and can be cleaned with products that are meant to clean leather. Many leather cleaners will work but always test an inconspicuous area first.
Woodstock warranties on ECO-leather and foam are for 3 Years. Structural component warranty is 10 Years.
Comment: Without doubt perhaps one of the most quintessential conference chairs on the planet. Frequently seen in many film and media productions this chair throws off a classic and ageless look of fine distinction and form. Also works well in loft or commercial settings and we like the big factory warranty. There are many cheaper look–a–likes out there but they are often made from inferior materials (vinyl) and carry very limited warranties. They are designed to fail and wear out unlike the Jimi.

Warranty
1. Woodstock Assures Total Customer Satisfaction
2. Woodstock warrants to the original purchaser all components for a period of 10 years with the exception of upholstery and foam which is warranted for 3 years.
3. Woodstock warrants to the original purchaser that all parts will be free from material defects. Woodstock will repair or replace, at its option, any unaltered components.
4. Warranty is limited to a 40 hour week and a 300 pound weight limit and does not cover customer abuse.
5. Warranty is limited to replacement or repair and does not cover cost of dealer transportation or labor.
6. There are no other warranties expressed or implied other than those specifically described.
7. Woodstock shall not be liable for consequential or incidental damages from any product defect.
8. Warranty does not cover chairs getting dirty or stained.
