Peter Opsvik and HAG have put a new twist or spin on the highly successful upholstered Capisco stool. In place of the original fully upholstered design is a new slim, streamlined and affordable model. Puls saddle seat stools are a fresh alternative with all the comfort and functionality that made the original Capisco stool a global hit. The Puls saddle seat stools are colorful, easier to clean, and at a lower price point. Musicians, artists and makers of all kinds swear by this ergonomic stool while engaging in their craft! These stools will promote a natural saddle seat open thigh angle such as that of an equestrian and this posture will put you in what we call an 'active sitting' position. Sit side saddle, backwards or sideways. The Capisco stool has earned HAG yet another red dot design award. Ships in 6-8 weeks.

Design Studio Note: The saddle seat stools are very much like the original Capisco but incorporate a slimmer design and easier to clean frame. Perfect for just about any setting, the Puls Capisco stool draws on the success of the Capisco upholstered version but with a slightly different look and feel. The saddle seat stools are slightly slimmer than the original. We like the integrated seat inserts that can be ordered in urethane vinyl which is perfect for medical, industrial or lab environments. All base versions have the very cool arched foot-rests which are a great place to rest your tired feet when working. Overall we give the new Puls Capisco stool an A++ for design and affordability

The GREENGUARD Gold Certification Standard includes health-based criteria for additional chemicals (compare to GREENGUARD Standard) and also requires lower total volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions levels to ensure that products are acceptable for use in environments such as schools and health care facilities. In addition to limiting emissions of more than 360 VOCs and total chemical emissions, GREENGUARD Gold Certified products must also comply with requirements of the state of California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Standard Method for the Testing and Evaluation of Volatile Organic Chemical Emissions from Indoor Sources Using Environmental Chambers,(also known as California Section 01350). Office furniture products that are GREENGUARD Gold Certified are also compliant with the BIFMA X7.1 standard.
Peter Opsvik works together with seven colleagues in his studio. Although Peter Opsvik comes up with most of the basic concepts, the work of translating his raw idea into a finished, manufacturable product is a team effort.
The studio has a strong focus on product design as a mean for solving real-life problems.
